laboratory testing.
Comprehensive laboratory testing at your doorstep.
The clinic offers a comprehensive range of tests performed on blood, urine and other specialised samples (such as sputum, wound/genital swabs and tissue histology). Blood samples are obtained by our highly experienced Nurses and Doctors. Testing for general wellbeing (e.g. vitamin and iron deficiencies) and a variety of common conditions is supported, as well as specialised tests that may be recommended by your Clinician. We are able to support blood sampling for the monitoring of certain chronic conditions or as part of the use of certain medications (e.g. that require regular thyroid, kidney or liver function monitoring).
WelLbeing and cardiovascular risk.
The promotion of wellbeing and preventative medicine is our service ethos. We have therefore devised the following comprehensive ‘panels’ which combine multiple assays associated with metabolic, endocrine, cardiovascular and nutritional wellbeing:
Cardiovascular Risk Panel - Blood test. This panel combines a full blood count with liver, kidney and thyroid function tests. In addition, it includes iron studies, calcium levels, full lipid studies (cholesterol), CRP (a marker of inflammation) and HbA1c (glycated haemoglobin, used in evaluating diabetes and glycaemic control).
Well Woman Panel - Blood test. This panel combines a cardiovascular panel with CA125, FSH, LH, oestradiol, active B12, folate and vitamin D.
Well Man Panel - Blood test. This panel combines a cardiovascular panel with PSA, Testosterone, active B12, folate and vitamin D.
In the case of abnormal results, we would advise you to book a consultation with one of our Clinicians to discuss and action them.
Specialist-guided tests.
Some of our investigations can only be recommended by your Clinician as part of a consultation. These include but are not limited to:
NT-pro-BNP - Blood test. This is a biomarker used to help diagnose and monitor Heart Failure. This test can only be requested following consultation with our one of our Cardiologists, if felt clinically indicated.
Female Hormone Panel, Male Hormone Panel, testing for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Insulin Resistance, Menopause, Endocrine Tumours - Blood tests. These panels and tests are usually requested following a recommendation from an Endocrinologist as part of a consultation.
Urine Protein and Protein:Creatinine ratio - this is used as part of a Specialist-guided assessment and monitoring of a variety of kidney disorders, diabetic kidney disease and hypertension (high blood pressure).
Your results are discussed with you and actioned, as part of a follow-up consultation you require to have with your Clinician.
SEXUAL HEALTH.
Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) screen - Blood and urine tests. This screens for HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Syphillis, Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea.
toxicology.
Drug and alcohol screen - Urine test. This screen includes ethanol level as well as the common illicit substances (‘drugs of misuse’).
Our laboratory offers over 3000 individual assays. We can offer specific/individual tests upon request. Abnormal results require a consultation with one of our Clinicians to action them. Contact us to book or make an enquiry.
